- Nonprofits and public-interest organizations, including grantees of The 11th Hour Project, who need data tools with real-world impact.
How an engagement works
- Scoping conversation. Tell us about the research question, the data, and what “done” looks like. We’ll suggest an approach and a rough level of effort.
- Proposal. For funded work we help write the software and data sections of grant proposals and budget for engineering time.
- Build. We work in the open where possible, with shared repositories, regular check-ins, and documentation from day one.
- Handoff. Every project ends with code you can run, maintain, and cite.
